2007 Craigellachie, 9 year-old, 46%

The nose does not disappoint, with notes of waxed jackets, barley oil and paraffin lamps. The waxy theme continues on the palate with a balance of sweet condensed-milk-like barley notes and new leather, very thick and complex. An equally rewarding finish gives cloves, beeswax and yet more barley.
