2009 Blair Athol, 13 year-old, 52.1%

Thick with burnt orange peel. Some butter toffee sweetness, the oak and burnt almond notes are restrained by playful citrus. Delicate traces of pouch tobacco and strawberry nougat. Swells well with the orange citrus shouting loudly until the drier oak and nuttiness cut through. The fruit shows elements of watery strawberry but all holds together well.
