2010 Caol Ila, 12 year-old, 56.4%

Bright opening with some honey, herb and phenol. Banana bread and parma violet. Integrates well as the phenols and medicinal notes settle and the banana marches on. Good and clean with an immediate burst of ashy stinging smoke bound in honey and menthol. Holds together and builds well as the fruit gains strength. Shows good maturity.
